In the framework of the JDZB Focus Week “Knowledge Culture“, the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB) in cooperation with the France-Japan Foundation of the EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) in Paris would like to invite you and your colleagues to the symposium
French-German Dialogue on Japan III:
Digital Learning in School Education: Perspectives from Japan, France, and Germany
on Friday, September 16, 2022, on-site at the JDZB, Saargemünder Str. 2, 14195 Berlin.
During the pandemic, remote learning at home suddenly became a reality for schoolchildren across the world. However, it also showed the shortcomings educational institutions still face when it comes to digitization. Despite given deficiencies and substantial backlogs in many areas, the digital transformation of learning in educational facilities on all levels is unstoppable. It will have a fundamental impact on the transfer of knowledge and on the meaning of education itself. Next to considerable technical challenges, the digitization of learning will also imply social effects.
This international symposium will bring together Japanese, French and German perspectives on digital learning in school education by experts from academia, policy makers, and representatives of the “classroom” who practically apply digital tools.
The conference is organized as an on-site event in compliance with the then prevailing SARS-CoV-2 regulations by the Berlin State government.
Conference language will be English, for further details please refer to the tentative program on our website.
For your registration for the symposium only, please use this online registration website.
Please note that to participate in the evening reception after the symposium it is necessary to register for the “Networking Salon” separately. You will receive the link for this additional online registration website with the final confirmation mail for your registration for the symposium.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB) soon.
With best regards,
