Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr. Gesine Foljanty-Jost was awared the Order of the Rising Sun on November 3rd, 2013. She received this honor crediting her 30-year-long engagement and encouragement of German-Japanese cooperation. The order was presented on March 14th, 2014 by the Japanese ambassador in Berlin.
