The rapid global advancement of information and communication technologies, including AI, impacts societies beyond borders. To enable the responsible and ethical implementation of new technologies on a global level, international exchange and cooperation are crucial.
At a satellite symposium to the German-Japanese-French conference on “Generative AI: Pathways to Democratization, Transparency and Sustainability” taking place on October 21 at 17:00 JST at Kyoto University and organized by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Center for Applied Philosophy and Ethics (CAPE), Kyoto University, and the DWIH Tokyo, two experts from Germany and Japan will introduce and discuss approaches toward the ethical use of AI.
