Dr. Yuko Harayama, one of keynote speakers at the hybrid EJEA Conference 2023 “Riding the Digital Wave into the Future: Chances, Risks and Actions for Japan and Europe” (October 24-25, 2023, St. Augustin, Germany), kindly allows us to present her slides here. Her presentation summarizes traditional Human-Machine relationships, their evolutions to the present state including the advent of AI and its applications. This is followed by the arguments and suggestions regarding the interplay between AI and Society with rich examples of various measures taken or recommended by international organizations as well as by stakeholders.
